To add to the Ayda stories...
Today, I was putting Jared down for a nap (lots of late nights=naps for the big boy), snuggling beside him and fully intending on napping with him. Ryan was in charge of Ayda's nap. I had almost fallen asleep when I heard lots of noise coming from her room. I tried to ignore it, hoping Ryan would hear, but alas, I eventually had to get up to check it out. I walked into her room and the first thing she says to me is, "I put a sponge in my nose and I can't get it out". (BTW, the noise I heard was her was disassembling her closet system.) I wasn't sure at first if she was pretending, but then realized that some of her new dollhouse accessories included extremely little things, such as a sponge for the bath. And I mean tiny. Easily lost in a nose. So I checked a bit, couldn't see anything and sent her to Ryan to deal with. I'm not sure if she told him, but he sent her back to her nap, and I followed suit. Fast forward to after naps, and she says to me, "The sponge is still in my nose". Sigh. Okay, let's take a look. Sure enough, after a bit of blowing her nose, Ryan spotted a little yellow thing nestled in what appeared to be a little "crevice" in her nose. After promises of a sucker and a threat that we might have to go to the hospital, Ryan was finally able to fish it out of her nose with a pair of tweezers (they had a nice curve to the tip, making it a bit safer!) Turns out it was a tiny, tiny pom-pom "tennis ball" that had come with a set for her dollhouse. Soaked in snot. Lovely.
She promised she wouldn't put any more sponges up her nose.
