Most of you that read my blog won't fall into this category of people, but I just want to throw it out there again, that once this Baby is born, please don't post anything on facebook until Ryan and I do it ourselves. It always amazes me how many times some random person will throw up a "congrats on the new little boy" or whatever on someone's wall, before the parents have even had a chance to call those they want to call or post it themselves. I don't know if people forget that by posting on a person's wall everyone can see it or if they are trying to "show off" that they knew about the birth before others, but I find it rude and in poor taste. Don't worry, I will be excited to make the announcement, so it's not like I'll wait days and days to post about the birth!
Once I post, comment away!

Amen.

We both disabled our walls before we went into the hospital to hopefully avoid this - and thankfully no one did "spoil" it for us.

Hmmm, how do you do that? I think that is an excellent idea!

Well said. I never had that happen, but see it all the time. And when you see someone has spilled it for your friend, do you add your congratulations even though they haven't personally shared the info with you, or wait at the risk of looking like a bad friend for not congratulating them???

Go to 'Privacy Settings' and uncheck 'Friends can post on my wall'.
