Day 5 - a picture of somewhere you've been

I really wanted to put a picture of Australia here, but we were there before we had a digital camera, so I only have film of our time there. So here is one from last year when Ryan & I went to Costa Rice.

It was a desperately needed time away for the two of us and it was glorious. This picture is of Ryan and his surfing instructor, walking back to where we began. Because of the direction of the waves, which were not coming straight at the shore, it just kept sweeping us further and further down the beach. I stopped surfing before Ryan did, and followed them from the shore with the camera. They got really far down before coming back! I particularly loved how the sand was multicolored. And there is nothing like the sound of the surf on the shore. Oddly enough, as I type this, I am also watching "Castaway", and I suppose in that situation, you might come to hate that sound...
