I know, I know. I have been terrible for blogging. Not sure if anyone even checks it out anymore. Sorry. Anyway, tonight we witnessed an ambulance pass us by, and both of the kids agreed that they want to be ambulances when they grow up. (Yeah, I think they mean paramedics, but you get the idea! They are 2 and 4 after all!) Anyway, all of a sudden Jared says, "No, Ayda will be the doctor and I'll be the ambulance and I'll take the...the...(you could tell he was desperately thinking of how to say 'the patient', but I don't even know if he knows that's the word for what he was trying to say) the...the man to Ayda and (wait for it), she'll stick him with the pointy thing!"

The other day, I came downstairs and Jared had already been up for a bit. Ryan had given him a granola bar to eat, and I also found the packaging for a Wagon Wheel on the couch. I gave him a bit of a scolding for fishing that out for himself, and later Ryan asked him why he had eaten that for breakfast. He told Ryan that, "I started eating the granola bar, but it wasn't good for me, so I got a Wagon Wheel and that was healthy for me." Okay, I guess we'll have to review the definition of healthy...

The kids both started another round of gymnastics today. They both love it. Of course they do. They can run, climb, jump, hang, bounce, slide, flip, etc, etc. Exactly what both of them LOVE to do. They haven't done gymnastics since last year at this time and it was fun to see the progress they both have made since then.

And Jared starts preschool on Thursday. Yikes! I have to start thinking in terms of school, at least to some degree! But I am so excited for him to start this new adventure. He will absolutely love it, I know.

And Ryan (and Heather, Vin and Chris) biked in the MS Bike Tour this past weekend. Despite the miserable weather, they did the 65ish kilometers in 3 hours and 40 minutes. And of course, Ryan "sort of felt stiff afterwards, but it's mostly my butt from the seat". Grrrr. If I jumped on a bike without training and rode that distance, I wouldn't be walking for a week! That's okay, I'd rather run! :)
