And Ayda had her belly button surgery yesterday and did so fine! She was amazingly patient, even though she was tired and HUNGRY (last solids the night before and only clear fluids until 8 that morning) and her surgery was delayed 2 1/2 hours. Of course, she woke up from surgery screaming with hunger. The nurse handed her to me, saying, "Here sweetie, here's your Mommy." Lady, if you had the food, she would have lept out of my arms and back into yours! It wasn't me she wanted! Of course, after a few swallows, it turned out that it WAS me she wanted - me and the food. Or maybe the food and me. In that order.
