AYDA STOOD ON HER OWN FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS THREE TIMES THIS EVENING!!! She hated every second of it, but she did it! It was quite amazing, actually. She was hanging onto Ryan's fingers, and when he took them away, so just stayed up. And for a really long time, considering she is only 8 1/2 months old. She did really good at balancing - she would start to tip one way, and correct herself. The only thing was (and it was quite humorous) was that she cried the whole time. I think she was a bit scared. She kept looking at Ryan or I with a "why aren't you giving me your hands?" look. But she still stood through the tears. Maybe she didn't know she had the option to fall to her bum...it was precious. Unfortunately, it was while we were at Ryan's Grandma's and I didn't even think to bring the camera, so I have no pictures. I will try to capture it on digital and video in the next day or two.
