This is before his haircut (pretty wild).
During his haircut (notice he is not screaming!)
After his haircut!
Yes, the hairdresser sprayed blue onto his hair.
I must say, the fauxhawk I did this morning is much better...

Gotta throw one of Ayda in!

And the kiddies "cuddling".

Yup, Jared had his second haircut yesterday, and it went MUCH better. I think it was a combination of a bit more maturity and the location. Kyla is a great hairdresser, but her salon is just not geared for kids, so we took him to Beaners, where he could sit in a car and watch "Cars". That was an awesome distraction! I was a bit more sentimental this time, because I knew we were going to go very short, but now that it's over, I really like it.

We watch certain shows in the morning (yeah Kids' CBC!) and he has really picked so much, like numbers and letters, that I thought he was too young for/not really interested yet. Nope, I was wrong. "Mommy, 'O'," as he points at an "O". And "one, two, three, one, two, one, two, three!" He obviously doesn't have all of his letters and numbers, but they are coming, along with his colours (he always starts his guess with yellow...it all started with a yellow school bus...) It really amazes me, when I stop and think about it - I can have simple but full conversations with my little boy! He totally strings words together, and this morning he "read" one of his new books to himself outloud - I love it!!

And Ayda found her toes today. She's accidently found them before, but today she saw tham and went for them! She's ready for a Bumbo chair and Exersaucer...sniff, sniff!! I had the public health nurse a bit concerned for her last week at her shots. She fell off of her curve, so of course for those nurses, it puts them into a panic mode (at least a lot of them). Nevermind the fact that she did still gain weight, she's happy and pooping and peeing. And it's not like she went from the 90% to the 10% - she went from 75th to 55th. Jared did the same thing - plateaued at 4 months. But b/c he was so big, nobody cared that he went from off the charts to 90th! Ah well. I know she's just fine. I'm just not used to clothes fitting when they say they will, or even being too big when they say they should fit!

And Ryan and I are busy getting ready to build. Well, we are actually more getting ready to sell this house, and working on the plans for the new one - almost done!! I am SO excited - we need more space!

Can't believe Ayda is almost 5 months old, time sure goes quickly. Can't wait to meet her (she'll be almost 1 then!!). Pretty neat idea to have a 'car seat' at the kiddy salon. Atticus went to the salon once and was pretty good, but since then his daddy has been his stylist. Now if only the top part of his hair would grow a bit more!

You really do have the cutest kids. And Jared is such a big boy already, time sure flys by, but you know that as well.

It's hard to do that first haircut, isn't it? I did Owen's myself so ended up doing it quite short. At first I was quite sad, and now I look back at some of his pictures with really long hair and think it looks hilarious!

They're so cute Allison!

And those darn health charts only cause panic - I'm glad you're level headed enough to know everything's awesome. :)

Good luck selling the house!
