Some final pictures from Arizona. If you are my friend on Facebook, I have lots more posted there. If you want to view them, find me on Facebook and request to be my friend. This post we have matching carseats, but the gals looks a bit different! Then Ayda in her sweet sunnies. Then Ayda and I in the pool, and Ayda hanging out - don't worry, that's my shadow right beside her! And finally one picture when we got home that I just love!!!

We ended up spending 12 hours in the Phoenix airport the day we left, b/c we were flying standby (Shaun can get us free tickets, but we aren't guaranteed a seat) and everyone wanted to go to Minneapolis, which was the route we were supposed to take. The Saskatoon-Minneapolis-Phoenix route on the way down was no problem! Anyway, we ended up forfeiting our hotel in Minneapolis, as well as the flight from there home, and we took the late flight from Phoenix to Vancouver. That flight itself wasn't bad, b/c it was fairly empty, so Ayda and I got a whole row of three seats at the back of the plane to ourselves and the flight attendants were awesome to us!!! So we could spread out and once Ayda fell asleep, I could lay her down. And then when I wanted to sleep, I just snuggled with her across all the seats. Then we overnighted in Vancouver and took Westjet home the next day. However, our luggage did make it to Minneapolis!!! According to the US Airways people at the airport, that is policy - to send standby luggage on the plane even if the standby people don't make it. But when I emailed US Airways about it, they said that it WASN'T their policy to do that. So I replied, just to let them know that their staff in Phoenix was saying that! So when I landed in Vancouver, it was 3 degrees and raining and windy and I was wearing a skirt, sandals and a golf shirt. Luckily, I had pants and socks for Ayda, but she only had a short-sleeved onesie on. I was SO COLD!!! I don't think I've ever felt so relieved to lock myself in a private room! Yeah, the day was full of tears and anger and frustration. But Ayda was SO GOOD. She had her moments, but so did I. It was a pretty crappy way to end an awesome time down in Scottsdale. But I was still glad to have gone. And thanks to the wonderful people at Northwest Air, I got my luggage the next day!

Ughhh, how awful! I feel bad for you being all alone way out in Vancouver. I can imagine your frustration, and I definitely would have had tears too!!!

Vancouver wasn't the worst part (except for the cold!) - at least then I knew how I was getting home! Plus, I wasted a perfectly hot Arizona day in the airport!!

Quite an travelling adventure you had. It was probably a good thing Jared wasn't with you, eh? You have very cute kids! What a great looking family. It's easy to see where they got their good looks from - both of you.
