This is my last post about the sheet. I am once again going to say that it worked for us, and unless you know us, please don't assume to know our situation and the personality of our son. Yes, we do want our son to obey us and we are certainly in the process of that. However, he IS 17 months, and the concept is still new to him, especially in the emotional throws of being tired at bedtime. We needed a way to keep him safe during the night and found it. He also no longer requires the sheet. He sleeps in his bed and does not get out, and I think the sheet aided him in achieving this. Believe me, the sheet was the last resort, not something we did right away.
If you see the value in the sheet - I hope it works as well for you as it did for us and don't feel guilty if your situation comes down to using it. If you don't see the value in it, I respect that that is your opinion, but please keep your comments to yourself. Those that know me and have an issue with it can discuss it with me in person, although those that really do know my family most likely understand!

On a different note, Jared had a complete conversation with Ryan on the phone the other day. There were two different languages involved - English and Jaredese, but it was pretty funny. Especially from a child who will pretend to blab on the phone when no one is on the other side, but as soon as someone is on the other side, quiets right up. His newest thing is to pick up the phone, press one button, put it to his ear and say "hi" and then hang up.

And the Baby just keeps on moving. 30 weeks today. Wow. And just think that 14 weeks ago we weren't even sure if we'd have this Baby. I feel pretty "safe" now. Even if Baby comes today, it's a whole lot better than what could have happened. (Not that I feel any indication of it coming today!) But I have had Braxton Hicks for a couple of weeks now, something I never had with Jared. They usually happen when I've been busy, so they kinda indicate that I need to slow down. And did I mention that this Baby moves a lot?! WAY more than Jared. Yikes - what does that mean for the future?!
