I finally had the time (and remembered!) to go
garage sale shopping on Saturday. Jared got a
heap of stuff (I was feeling generous, at $1 or
$2 per toy!), including this wonderful tool set. Jared is in LOVE with Ryan's tools,
so I figured this would be a hit, and it was. Better to carry around a plastic screw-
driver than a real one! And then there is a picture of Jared with his friend Natalie,
having a pre-bedtime bath. Unfortunately, this bath was followed by not a lot of
sleep until way later in the night. Jared did better, but that's because he was in
his own house, I'm sure.
Jared also made a discovery today - mud puddles! I was saying something to one
of my nephews this afternoon, as I was watching them outside, and the next thing I
knew, Jared was in an ankle-deep puddle, splashing away. I figuered, whatever, he's
already dirty, so I just let him go at it. He had a blast. He is SUCH a boy!! Speaking
of boys, two of my friends had boys this past week. Congratulations to Bobbi, who
gave birth to Emilio Raul on Sunday morning (last Sunday) and to Shelen, who gave
birth to Ian Mathew on Thursday, I believe it was. You can link to Shelen's blog through
