I'm trying to decide what colour to paint the kitchen/dining room. It is in desperate need of redoing, so in the next few weeks I will get at it. That's one of the problems with subbing - I have no idea how long a project will take! The painting could be finished by next week, or it could be next month! I started painting our new fence today (it's taking a lot longer than I thought it would), so I am currently paint-motivated. I actually do enjoy painting. It's the prep that I hate so much. Taping, patching, sanding...yuck! Luckily, my rather wonderful husband doesn't mind patching and sanding (and he's SO much better at it than me!) so I'm off the hook, usually.
OH!!! We got a new vehicle last week! I can't believe I haven't blogged about it yet! It is wonderful: a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ. The LTZ means loaded to the max. That was not our plan, but it was in our price range and just happened to come with EVERYTHING. Leather seats, heated seats, programmable everything (and you can program it for two people, so one setting for me, one for Ryan), an AWESOME Boes stereo system and, get this, a DVD player! Really, God shocked us with this one. And we love it. We test drove an Xterra, which was nice too, but this one was just "the one". It's been wonderful. In the meantime, we are selling our '94 Grand Am. It's in great shape, inside and out, and has been a faithful friend to me for many years. So if anyone is looking for a reliable car, give us a call or email us.

one thing we used to suggest when i worked in paints at J&H, was to take a bunch of sample chips of various colors home, tape them to your wall, and look at them at different times of the day to see what you like....it always looks different at home than it does in the store.

Good luck choosing colors!
