I am officially the Special Ed. teacher in Aberdeen Composite School today. I can definitely handle it, it's just not really at all the area I want to be working in. I guess there are perks, such as an extremely small amount of kids at a time (maximum two!!) and some don't work for the whole hour, so I have some down time in between, hence the blog entry! Apparently, the school doesn't have a teacher on the sub list that is trained in Spec. Ed., so they are looking for a strong elementary sub who can fill in regularly when needed. And they are trying me out! That's a complement to me, that's for sure! And I will take all the sub days I can get. I would rather be here than in the high school, anyway! And if I can get experience here, that's also a huge bonus for me. So, the pros seem to be outweighing the one con!
