Well, we just got back from a wonderful weekend at the cabin. It was just Ryan and I and it was great to relax and snowmobile. I even got a few more pages done on my Australia scrapbook. We went to Elk Ridge for Valentine's Day supper, which was great, but made me realize just how "hick-ish" most people in the province are. It drives me crazy. If you go to most any other city in a Western country, people dress up to go out, even if it's just a normal evening. Here, even on Valentine's Day, people were coming into the restaurant (which is a fairly nice establishment) wearing jeans and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. Oh, and don't forget the leather jacket on top. Or even sweats. I saw a couple of those. Now I'm not asking people to give up jeans. However, you can dress jeans up!!! But you know that there's a problem when I wear a skirt out for supper on Valentine's Day to a nice place and I grab the attention of the whole restaurant because I stand out. Sheesh.
