So our flight back home has been changed. Not a big change, but slightly annoying. We are now coming home at 11:30PM on December 23, instead of at 4:50. The reason is that we went through Calgary when we came out and so we have to go through Calgary coming back, and the earlier flight was through Vancouver. So we still hope to see lots of people at the airport, despite the ridiculous hour.
We've only got two 1/2 more weeks here in Brisbane. It's hard to concentrate on teaching for that reason and also because I feel kinda like I'm just putting in time right now. These last four weeks here are the first four weeks in their last term, so I can't really get into anything. Plus, I am with the PE teacher (since PE is my major) which is fine, but he also has two other students with him from the university here, so it's a lot of watching. We are in the pool, which is great, but still, I don't do much. And then my last week is the year seven camp, which the PE teacher is going on but I am not, so I'm really not sure what's going to happen with me then! I think I should just be done early, to tell you the truth. But of course that's NOT going to happen!
And Ryan is on his last week with his landscaping job - he's pretty happy about that. He'll try to pick up odd jobs after that until we leave.
The weather is getting hotter and hotter, although we did have a good four days of on-again, off-again rain, which cooled things down. The rain was a huge blessing!
So that's about it. Oh, on the church side of things, the message that the pastor gave on Sunday was super. Exactly what Christians (including myself) need to hear about how just listening to and knowing the Word is not enough. God calls us to action and obedience. The text was James 1:22-27 or somewhere around there. Anyway, a real good kick in the pants.
