Day 26 - what do you think about your friends?

Obviously, I love my friends! But the thing that immediately comes to mind is the support I received when my Mom died (and still receive). And then following that shortly after, when my water broke with Ayda at 16 weeks. I always knew that I had great friends, but my truest and greatest friends came shining through during those times in my life.

When we moved out of the city, there were quite a few people who commented that I would make new friends or something to that effect when I would mention that it was a struggle to move. And actually, I still feel that way and get those comments. Not everyone said that, not my good friends, and most people said it in such a flippant way that I'm pretty sure their intentions were good, but it actually hurt quite a bit. Make new friends?! It's not like we moved hours and hours away! We are still only 20 minutes from the city, so it's not like I can't continue those friendships with some effort! And immediately after these comments were made I would think, "Why in the world would I want to make new friends? I have got the most amazing friends, who have supported me through the hardest times of my life! I would kinda like to keep them!"

Anyway, I hope that sort of shows how I feel about my friends!
