Day 9 - something you're proud of in the past few days

I just created an awesome website for a little business/non-profit organization that a friend and I started up in November. It's an organization that showcases Moms/future Moms who have home-based businesses. We started with doing a couple of basic showcase/trade shows type events, that went well and were fun, but we are now working on a different type of event - a ladies' night out. We are so excited about it - and I LOVE planning things like this. Jenn, my friend, and I work really well together, too - we complement each other with our skills and abilities. And for each event, we choose a charity to raise money for, as our way to give back. We try to stay local, so for the first one we raised money for Crisis Nursery - a safe place where kids can go under pretty much any situation where their parents are unable to care for them, from birth up to age 12 (I think). The second show we raised money for Adelle House - a second-stage housing unit for women and their children who have escaped an abusive situation. For our May event we are raising money for The Bridge on 20th - this place started as a basic soup kitchen run by a Christian lady, and has evolved into so much more. It still serves food, but also provides clothing (and I think other necessities), runs church and children's programs, camps in the summer, and are looking into providing temporary housing for those in need, I believe. My cousin actually works at the Bridge.
So anyway, I'm not only proud of creating the website, I'm also pretty proud of creating this organization! You can check out the website at www.mompreneursshowcase.com.
