I just mailed Jared's preschool registration today. Really?! I have to think about preschool already?! I guess that season is fast approaching. I shouldn't be surprised - the kid looks like he's half done kindergarten already! You have no idea how many times I've been asked which school he attends. "Umm, he's 3." "Really? I would have thought he was in kindergarten, maybe even grade 1!" "Yeah, I know. I have to buy clothes for this growing boy. But really, he's 3."
But school is around the corner. We are actually registering him for two preschools, and then we'll go to each Open House and decide. One is in the area that we live and one is in the city. I am slowly going through the pros and cons, as well as the most convenient option. (I am in the city a lot.) And then kindergaren. Yikes! The scariest part is that we plan on registering him at VCA (which has a pecking order for getting in, because it's a Christian school, so partly private, and we would be at the bottom of the list - the order is church member [run by the Bergthaler church], sibling of current student, staff members kid, and general and they only take 24 kids per year), and the registration there is a full year before your child is due to start kindergarten. So that means registering him this coming September! We're going to register and see if he even gets in before making a decision about where we want him to go to school. At least this way, we might have the option. This is all happening way too fast.

WOW! School already. I can't wait to talk with you about Christian school versus public school. There are some VERY strong opinions out there. (And I have a funny story but don't want to share in public...remind me later:)
