Tribute
I forgot about these pictures when I did my previous post. Due to Dad & Shaun having to be away today on business, we had a tribute to Mom on Tuesday. We each wrote a note to Mom, tied it to a helium balloon and let them go, after some reflection and just time together at her grave. Here are some pictures from that evening. In reverse order, of course, because I can't ever get the order right.
On the way back to Dad's.
Dad with Kaitlyn, his youngest grandchild.
Dad's balloons, sailing away.
Dad letting his balloons go. His piece of paper was bigger than the rest of ours, so his balloon wouldn't carry it away. It just kinda bounced down the path - quite funny, really. So he had to tie another balloon to the note. I thought it was quite fitting.
If you look closely, you can see our balloons floating away. I didn't take any pics previous to this one - I forgot we had our little camera with us. I was really sorry I'd forgotten, but what can you do?
