KITCHEN!!!
This one was supposed to be at the end, but whatever. My kids on Good Friday with the teddy bears Grandpa Unger had made for them out of Grandma's fur coat. Love the idea!
Jared's stripped wall. As of this post, it is actually finished! (In this picture, you can see the tape around the brown stripes, as I still had one more coat to do.) I'm super-happy with how it turned out.
Our future drink/coffee centre, beside the fridge.
The cut-out on the left is where our wall oven will go and the cut-out on the right is where our microwave will go. Our cooktop will go in the middle of the countertop.
Our kitchen taken from the living room. The island will get back panels, of course.
I just realized I didn't post any pics of the colour of the island. Oh well, it's really close to the colour of the floor. Ryan just has to hand-nail a few rows of hardwood in the study and then that is finished! Countertops and handrailing were measured up yesterday, and our carpet should be here any day. I'm in the process of painting trim and doors and jambs. All of a sudden, there is so much to do! Not much longer before we are in our NEW HOUSE!!!

Hurray for the progress.
It looks fantastic!
Wow! All looks really good! I LOVE Jared's wall! I've always wanted to do something creative like that but have never tried.
I also love the idea of those teddy bears for your kids. That's great!
What a great idea with the teddy bears! How did your dad come up with that idea?
The house is looking so great Al! It's been a lot of hard work, but it'll definitely all pay off VERY soon! I can't wait to get the grand tour next time I'm home (hopefully sometime around the end of May/beginning of June)!
So great to see you all again at Easter, even if it was in the mayhem/chaos that was the Unger shindig!
it looks beautiful. Can't wait to see the finished product. Oh, and we love our wall oven. Did you have one at your old place? I can't remember.
wow, your dad is really creative, what a great idea, and it looks like Jared loves it already.
the house is looking great, can't wait to have our first lunch there!!
Everything looks awesome! Can't wait for the tour, which will come soon...hang in there! And what a thoughtful idea for the teddy bears. They will be forever special. Thanks for hanging out yesterday.
