STAIRS!! And other things...

So we have stairs in the cabin, and most things are insulated. Inspection #2 has been completed and while we have to fix a few things, it's nothing that stops us from putting up vapor barrier. From there we can drywall the ceiling, blow insulation into the attic, heat the house and then drywall the rest of the house!! Wow - it seemed like this past month or two has not produced much progress, only because it's not the highly visible stuff, like roughing in electrical and plumbing. But now all of a sudden drastic visible changes are going to occur. I get to pick paint colours soon! 

And we are finally having some success with Jared and the potty. He has peed three times on it! He still doesn't initiate, but that will come. It will be at that point that I consider him to be actually trained. My friend, who has older kids, is very encouraging to me in regards to potty training, and I really appreciate that. Thanks, Dionne! 

And Ayda is one. Ayda is one. Crazy. She is really growing into her own. She's really surprised me in few areas, one is her independence. As long as she knows where I am so that she can come back to me when she wants to, she will venture out and explore. Even in a strange place. That just astonishes me, because she is much more of a cling-on than Jared. I'm sure it helps that generally she knows at least a few kids that come and go in her line of play, so it feels familiar, and Jared is always around. But still, she will just jump off of my lap and go. 

That's the short version of what's been going on. Ryan and I are quite...anxious about the house. I was going to say stressed, but that's not quite right. It's just getting down to the wire now. The next couple of months will fly by! I'll keep posting pictures when I can.
