My wonderful and beautiful son gave us a full night of sleep last night! If you will remember, he was a dream sleeper until we started renovating our house and moved into it. And since then it's been hit and miss, although I don't think that we've had a full night since before the move. Until last night. He slept from about 8:30 until 7AM. And then I fed him and convinced him to go back down until shortly after 8. It was bliss and brought back memories from when he was 6 weeks old. Now I know that it may not last, but we now have hope. I also read an article yesterday, talking about how many babies/kids don't sleep through the night until they are older, and how parents want to look for solutions (and should), but also about how instead of focusing on that, concentrate on how to cope with the middle of the night wakes. And that it is perfectly normal for kids to wake up during the night and just need reassuring to go back to sleep. And that's all Jared normally needs, so really, 5 minutes to calm him back to sleep is nothing. For all of you newer parents (newer than me, anyway) whose babies sleep well, I hope that they continue sleeping well, but beware that it may not last.... And it's okay if it doesn't!!!
Oh, about the pictures: Ryan was giving him some of his chocolate with whipped cream tart, thus the messy face. And then I just took a couple this morning, because he was so cute with his hair kinda sticking out on the one side and his outfit and big smiles. I love his smiles. They take up his whole face. Kinda like mine!
