I bought my first maternity clothes yesterday. I don't need them, but I thought that I would get a few just so that one day I didn't wake up and decide that my pants fit too tight and then have nothing to wear. So I bought a pair of jeans and a pair of khaki pants (with the elastic at the back, so I can wear them even now, just like the skirt I bought last pregnancy!), as well as a nice yellow shirt for when I'm really showing, and a REALLY nice zip-up sweater. It's a little big now, but as soon as I can, I'm wearing that!!! So yeah, the pants are really great. I've decided that I like the elastic back, because a) I can wear it now and b) when I am showing, I wear the pant under my belly, like low-rise pants, which is what I wear now! So I can still keep my comfort and style. Who knows, as I get bigger, I might want pants with the band at the top, but as far as I can see now, I won't. And I got all the stuff at Motherhood Maternity, which just opened up in Midtown Plaza, and has great selection and way better prices than Thyme. I've also heard that their clothes fit better in the end. I guess we'll see. But the prices are definitely more consumer friendly! My 16 week appointment is in 12 days!
