So it's almost 2AM and I am still awake. The bad news: I teach tomorrow. Sigh. The reason I am up is morning sickness, or in my case, afternoon-evening-night sickness. I haven't had it like this in a couple of weeks, and it seemed to be getting rapidly better, and then tonight hit. Yuck. Not even my little magic pill is helping. So I am trying anything else. I currently have a quarter eaten piece of toast in front of me, which DID NOT help! (For those of you who have never been pregnant, sometimes food amazingly helps the whole situation. Not tonight.)
On a much happier note, and one that gives me great hope, two couples who Ryan and I are friends with had their babies on Thursday. It was quite strange, because the one couple, Rob and Jenn, who we are really good friends with, had a scheduled C-section. We went to visit them, and while we were there, we thought, "Hey, we should see if Neil and Jenn had their baby recently." (They were due three days earlier.) So we asked, and the nurse said, "No, there is no one by that name on the ward." And then we found out later that night that they actually WERE there, but for some reason, the nurse was naive to that fact (kinda scary!) So they did have their baby on the same day as Rob and Jenn. So I have been in my heaven holding Cadence Roen a bit (Neil and Jenn's little girl) and holding Natalie Jane Madeline a lot (I love having a close friend with a newborn!!) They are both so perfect. Natalie is such an angel, too. She rarely cries, in fact, it's hard to get her to wake up at all!! But she's already starting to put on weight after her normal drop at the beginning, so that's good. And Jenn is doing so good - they came home two days after the section, which is unusual. I am just so happy for them!!! Now I really want a girl, so she can play with those two! (Really, I don't care:))
Okay, I need to attempt to sleep. I am going to be so wasted tomorrow if I don't at least try to keep from gagging long enough to fall asleep!
