All The Kids

So I usually just check out other people's blogs and forget to write in my own. The summer is going by so fast, and soon it will be time to job hunt, yet again. My summer job is okay, although I can hardly say that it's the best summer job ever, as many people rave. I think part of it is that both my partner and I are new and don't really know if we are doing things right. We never really covered exactly what a day is supposed to look like in any of our training. So we just wing it, and hope for the best. The kids are happy, so why worry?! But we get GRADED at the end. How completely stupid. It's an 8-week summer job! I've never been graded at the end of any job I've ever had and most lastest longer than 8 weeks!
Anyway, Ryan and I have spent lots of weekends at the lake, and plan to spend a lot more. I think besides the family reunion in August, all other weekends until it snows will be spent water-skiing and wakeboarding. Although a couple weekends ago, when they said it would be hot and it wasn't...again...I told him that I would give up those two sports in exchange for heat and surfing...
But the weather has perked right up, and I am happy in the sun, right where I belong. And what about those storms!!
I've added my brother, Shaun's, website address in the links section for any of you interested in checking it out. He'll complete his year-long round the world trip on August 31. He is currently in Thailand or Malaysia, depending on which flight he got. So even though it's almost done, it's still interesting to read what he's all seen and experienced, plus there are a few pictures to show how he's evolved and become a hairy man over the year...
